What You’ll See & Do
Setting off towards the south coast, you’ll pass rugged scrublands, marginal farmlands, and sugarcane fields. The beach that we’ll spend the day at is rarely visited by tourists. Once we reach our destination, the views are simply breathtaking. Sitting on a coral reef overlooking Yuma Bay, it’s the perfect location to relax and unwind.
You will get to enjoy the beauty of the rugged cliffs and the splashing of ocean waves while you’ll have some free time to walk and relax on an unspoiled local beach. You will then be taking a short boat ride to explore a gorgeous river and its estuary before we visit the spot where Jean Ponce Leon (a Spanish explorer and conquistador) first landed coupled with a visit to the Jean Ponce Leon Museum.
A stop along the river will be to a cave which allows us to explore the artworks of the inhabitants “Tainos” who called this island home long before European occupation. Geologically speaking, the cave has secrets for you to explore…
